行天 豊雄

(国際通貨研究所理事長、元大蔵省財務官)

東京大学経済学部卒。1986年から1989年まで大蔵省(現・財務省)財務官、1992年より東京銀行取締役会長を歴任。その間ハーバード大学、プリンストン大学客員教授を務める。1995年国際通貨研究所理事長に就任。三菱東京UFJ銀行顧問、日本CFO協会理事長。著書にポール・ボルカー・前米連邦準備制度理事会議長との共著「富の興亡」など。

伊藤 隆敏

(東京大学大学院経済学研究科教授、前経済財政諮問会議民間議員)

一橋大学経済学部卒業。同大学院経済学研究科修士課程を経て、ハーバード大学大学院経済学博士課程卒業(Ph.D.)。ミネソタ大学経済学部准教授、一橋大学経済研究所教授、東京大学先端科学技術研究センター教授を経て、2004年東京大学公共政策大学院教授に就任、現在に至る。その間、ハーバード大学ケネディー行政大学院客員教授、国際通貨基金(IMF)調査局上級審議役、1999年から2001年まで財務省副財務官を務める。日本経済学会会長(2004年度)。2006年10月から2008年10月まで経済財政諮問会議・民間議員。専門は国際金融論、マクロ経済学、日本経済論。著書にThe Japanese Economy(MIT Press)、インフレ・ターゲティング(日本経済新聞社)など。

川北 英隆

(京都大学大学院経営管理研究部教授)

京都大学経済学部卒業。1974年、日本生命保険に入社。ニッセイ基礎研究所金融研究部上席主任研究員、資金証券部長、取締役財務企画部長等を歴任。2003年3月、日本生命保険を依願退職。2002年7月、中央大学国際会計研究科特任教授、2004年3月、同志社大学政策学部教授(ファイナンス担当)。日本証券アナリスト協会理事、日本ファイナンス学会理事等。2005年4月より京都大学経済学研究科客員教授に就任、2006年4月より現職。著書に『日本型株式市場の構造変化』(1995年、東洋経済新報社)、『株式市場のマイクロストラクチャー』(1998年、日本経済新聞社、共著)など。

川本 裕子

(早稲田大学大学院ファイナンス研究科教授)

東京大学文学部社会心理学科卒業。オックスフォード大学大学院経済学修士課程修了。1982年旧東京銀行入行。 1988年マッキンゼー東京支社入社。内外の金融機関や企業経営のためのリサーチやコンサルティングに従事。1993年ワシントンでグローバル資本市場に関するプロジェクトに参加。1995年から1999年夏までパリ勤務。2002年道路関係四公団民営化推進委員会委員、2003年金融タスクフォースメンバーなどを務める。著書に「日本を変える」(中央公論新社)、「銀行収益革命」(東洋経済新報社)など。

髙橋 征夫

(前JPモルガン・チェース銀行在日代表)

京都大学経済学部卒業。伊藤忠商事ニューヨーク駐在為替・債券担当チーフ・ディーラー等を経て、1984年ケミカル・バンク日本代表者、マネージング・ディレクター。1992年マニュファクチャラ-ズハノーバー銀行と合併後、在日代表者として為替資金本部長を兼任。 1996年同行とチェース・マンハッタン銀行との合併後、引き続き在日代表者、為替資金本部長。2001年同行東京支店長。2001年合併によりJPモルガン・チェース銀行在日代表者兼東京支店長(為替資金本部長を兼任)。2004年為替資金本部シニアアドバイザーを経て引退。著書に「トップディーラーが書いた為替の本」(時事通信社)など。

田谷 禎三

(立教大学経営学部特任教授、元日本銀行政策委員会審議委員)

立教大学社会学部大学院修士課程終了後、カリフォルニア大学ロスアンジェルス校(UCLA)で経済学博士(Ph.D)取得。国際通貨基金(IMF)、大和証券経済研究所、大和総研ヨーロッパ社長兼理事などを歴任。日米21世紀委員会日本側事務局長(兼任)、大和総研常務理事を経て1999年12月から2004年12月まで日本銀行政策委員会審議委員。2004年12月、大和総研特別理事に就任、現在に至る。 2005年4月より立教大学社会学部特任教授。著書に「世界経済図説」(岩波新書、共著)、「The Functioning of Floating Exchange Rates: Theory, Evidence, and Policy Implications 」(Ballinger Publishing Company、共編著)などがある。

能見 公一

(産業革新機構取締役社長、一橋大学大学院国際企業戦略研究科教授)

東京大学農学部農業経済学科卒業。 1969年、農林中央金庫に入庫。1993年6月、ニューヨーク支店長、帰国後1995年7月から国際金融部長、資金証券部長、債券投資部長を歴任し、市場運用を統括。1999年6月、常務理事(市場運用部門統括)、2002年6月、専務理事(総合企画、財務、運用部門統括)。2004年6月から2006年6月まで農林中金全共連アセットマネジメント株式会社代表取締役社長。2006年6月、あおぞら銀行代表取締役副会長、2007年2月から同行代表取締役会長、2008年5月退任。2008年7月から一橋大教授。2009年7月、産業革新機構取締役社長に就任。

安田 隆二

(一橋大学大学院国際企業戦略研究科教授、ジェイ・ウィル・パートナーズ前会長)

東京大学経済学部卒業後、カリフォルニア大学バークレー校で政治学博士(Ph.D)取得。モルガン銀行(ニューヨーク)、マッキンゼー・アンド・カンパニーのディレクターを経て、1995年よりスタンフォード大学客員研究員、1996年A.T.カーニー社アジア総代表、2003年6月から2006年9月までジェイ・ウィル・パートナーズ会長。2004年4月より現職。専門は企業戦略論、企業再生経営、M&Aおよびバイアウト、金融機関経営論。著者に「めざめよ!銀行―新しい金融サービスの創造」(日本経済新聞社)、「企業再生マネジメント」(東洋経済新報社)などがある。

TOYOO GYOHTEN
President of the Institute for International Monetary Affairs
Former Vice Minister of Finance for International Affairs at the Ministry of Finance
Mr Gyohten graduated from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Economics. He served as Vice Minister of Finance for International Affairs at the Ministry of Finance from 1986 to 1989. In 1992, he became Chairman of the Bank of Tokyo, Ltd. He also taught at Harvard University and Princeton University as visiting professor. Mr Gyohten is currently President of the Institute for International Monetary Affairs, Senior Advisor of the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd., and President of the Japan CFO Association. Among his numerous publications is Changing Fortunes: The World’s Money and the Threat to American Leadership, co-authored with former FRB Chairman Paul Volcker.

TAKATOSHI ITO
Professor, Graduate School of Economics, University of Tokyo
Former member of the Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy


Professor Ito graduated from Hitotsubashi University, Faculty of Economics. After completing his M.A. in Economics at the graduate school of Hitotsubashi University, he went on to obtain a Ph.D. in Economics at Harvard University. He has served as Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Minnesota, Professor at the Hitotsubashi University, Institute of Economic Research, then Professor at the University of Tokyo, Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology. Since 2004, he has been Professor of economics at the University of Tokyo. He was Visiting Professor at Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government (1992-1994), Senior Advisor at the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund(1994-1997), Deputy Vice Minister of Finance for International Affairs(1999-2001) President of the Japanese Economic Association(2004-2005) and a member of the Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy(2006-2008). His specialties are open macroeconomics and Japanese economy. His current research topic includes micro-structure of the foreign exchange rate market. Among his publications are The Japanese Economy(MIT Press), and Inflation Targeting (Nihon Keizai Shimbunsha).


HIDETAKA KAWAKITA
Professor, Kyoto University Graduate School of Management
Former Board Member of Nippon Life Insurance Company


After completing his B.A. in Economics at Kyoto University, Mr. Kawakita joined the Nippon Life Insurance Company in 1974. He worked as Chief Strategist of the Financial Research Department at the NLI Research Institute, then rejoined Nippon Life as General Manager, Treasury and Capital Markets Department, then went on to become General Manager, Managing Finance and Investment Planning Department and a Director of the company. In March 2003, he resigned voluntarily from Nippon Life, having become a Professor at Chuo University’s Graduate School of International Accounting in July of the previous year. In March 2004, he became Professor at Doshisha University’s Faculty of Policy Studies, in charge of Finance. His current positions include Director of the Security Analysts Association of Japan, and Director of the Nippon Finance Association. From April 2005, he serves as a Visiting Professor at Kyoto University’s Faculty of Economics, and since April 2006, he became a Professor at Kyoto University Graduate School of Management. Among his publications are Structural Changes in the Japanese Stock Markets(Toyo Keizai Shimpo 1995), and The Microstructure of Stock Markets(Nihon Keizai Shimbunsha 1998, co-author).


YUKO KAWAMOTO
Professor, Waseda University Graduate School of Finance, Accounting and Law


Professor Kawamoto is a graduate of Tokyo University’s Literature Department School of Social Psychology. She holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from Oxford University. Before joining McKinsey & Co.’s Japan Office in 1988, she worked at the Bank of Tokyo (now Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubushi UFJ). She has experience in research and consulting for financial institutions and corporate management, both within Japan and overseas.In 1993, she took part in a global capital markets project in Washington. Professor Kawamoto worked in Paris from 1995 to 1999. In 2002, she became a member of a committee for the privatization of the four road-related government corporations and in 2003, a member of Council’s Working Group, the Financial Services Agency. Her specialies are financial system and bank management. Her publications include Changing Japan, towards Independent Citizents(Chuokoron shinsha, 2004), A Profit Revolution of Banks(Toyo Keizai Shimpo, 2000)


KIMIKAZU NOUMI
CEO, Innovation Network Corporation of Japan
Professor, Hitotsubashi University Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy
Former Chairman of Aozora Bank, Ltd


After completing his B.A. in Agricultural Economics at the University of Tokyo, Mr. Noumi joined The Norinchukin Bank in 1969. He became Deputy Manager of the International Finance Division in 1990 and then assumed the post of General Manager of the New York Branch in 1993. After returning to Japan in 1995, he served as General Manager of the International Finance Division, Treasury Securities Division and Securities Investment Division. He went on to become Managing Director in 1999 and Senior Managing Director in 2002. In 2004, he resigned from the Norinchukin Bank and became President of the Norinchukin Zenkyoren Asset Management Co., Ltd. In 2006, he joined Aozora Bank Ltd. as Vice Chairman and served as Chairman from 2007 until May 2008. From July 2008, Mr. Noumi is a Professor at Hitotsubashi University. He is currently CEO of the Innovation Network Corporation of Japan.


YUKUO TAKAHASHI
Former Branch Manager of JP Morgan Chase Bank, Tokyo Branch


Mr Takahashi graduated from the Kyoto University Faculty of Economics. After working as Chief Dealer of Foreign Exchange and Fixed Income at the New York Office of ITOCHU Corporation, in 1984, he became the Managing Director of Chemical Bank in Japan. In 1992, after the merger with the Manufacturers Hanover Bank, as the representative of Japan, he also assumed the post of General Manager in charge of the Global Currency and Commodity Group. After the merger with the Chase Manhattan Bank in 1996, he continued to serve as Japan Representative, and General Manager in Charge of the Global Currency and Commodity Group. In 2001, he became the Tokyo Branch Manager. After the merger in 2001, he became Branch Manager of JPMorgan Chase Bank, Tokyo Branch (also continuing his duties as General Manager in charge of the Global Currency and Commodity Group). After serving as Senior Advisor to the Global Currency and Commodity Group, he retired in 2004. His publications include The Book of Foreign Exchange Written by a Top Dealer (Jiji Tsushin, 1989).


TEIZO TAYA
Professor, Rikkyou University College of Business.
Former member of the policy board of the Bank of Japan


Mr. Taya graduated from Rikkyo University Department of Social Relations. After completing his M.A. in Applied Sociology at the graduate school of Rikkyo University, he went on to receive his Ph.D in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. After working as an economist at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), he joined Daiwa Securities Research Institute. He became Managing Director at Daiwa Institute of Research Europe, London, and Director at Daiwa Institute of Research, Tokyo. After serving as Managing Director of Daiwa Institute of Research, he became a member of the policy board at the Bank of Japan(1999-2004). Since December 2004, he is Special Counselor at the Daiwa Institute of Research. From April 2005, he is a Professor at Rikkyo University College of Social Relations. His publications include The World Economy Illustrated (coauthor, Iwanami) and The Functioning of Floating Exchange Rates: Theory, Evidence, and Policy Implications (coeditor, Ballinger Publishing Company)


RYUJI YASUDA
Professor, Hitotsubashi University Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy


After graduating from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Economics, Professor Yasuda received his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He worked at Morgan Guaranty Trust in New York, then at McKinsey & Company as Director. From 1995, he served as visiting scholar at Stanford University, and from 1996, as Chairman & Managing Director, A.T. Kearney Asia. Professor Yasuda served as Chairman of J-Will Partners Co. Ltd. from June 2003 September 2006. He is a Professor at Hitotsubashi University from April 2004. His specialties are corporate strategy, M&A’s and buy-outs, and management of financial institutions. His publications include How to Revive Japanese Corporations (Toyo Keizai Shimpo).

NAMIE KOYANAKA

Ms Koyanaka graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Studies, Sophia University. She has experience as a foreign exchange dealer at the Tokyo Branch of the Swiss Bank Corporation (currently UBS), as well as at other institutions. From 1996, she served as financial markets reporter at Bloomberg News, The Japan Economic Journal (Nikkei Quick News) etc. In 2005, Ms Koyanaka founded the Tokyo Financial Research Co., Ltd. and has assumed the position of President and CEO.
